GoodKid is made by Orango Labs Ltd (“we”). This policy explains what the GoodKid app for iOS and Android collects, why, and the choices you have. In short: no ads, no tracking, no child accounts, and only the data needed to keep your family’s devices in sync.
What we store
- Your family’s GoodKid content — the children’s names or nicknames and emoji avatars you enter, tasks, rewards, the star history and a salted hash of the optional parent PIN. This is kept on your device and, so every linked phone shows the same data, on our sync server.
- An anonymous family ID and device key — created automatically; they are not linked to your name, email or phone number. For each linked device we also keep its model (for example “iPhone 17 Pro”) and when it last synced.
- Purchases — handled by Apple or Google and verified through RevenueCat, using the anonymous family ID so GoodKid Pro works on every linked device. We never see your payment details.
What we don’t do
- No advertising and no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
- No tracking across apps or websites, and no selling or sharing of data.
- No accounts, emails or passwords are required — for parents or children.
- No location, contacts, photos or microphone access.
Camera
The camera is used only when you choose to scan the QR code that links another parent’s device. Images are processed on the device to read the code and are never stored or uploaded.
Notifications
Daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We do not send push notifications from a server.
Where data is processed
Sync data is stored with Cloudflare (Workers and D1) and transmitted over HTTPS. Purchase status is processed by RevenueCat, Apple and Google under their own privacy policies.
Children
GoodKid is designed to be set up and managed by parents. Children do not create accounts or provide personal information; parents choose what names or nicknames to enter. We do not knowingly collect any other information from children.
Keeping and deleting data
- Deleting a child, task or reward in the app deletes it from every linked device.
- “Unlink this device” (Parents → Link a device) stops a device syncing and revokes its key.
- To delete your family’s sync data entirely, email us from the app’s Support page with your request; we delete it within 30 days. Deleting the app removes everything stored on that device.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the UK/EU GDPR or the CCPA), you can ask to access, correct or delete your data. Contact orangolabs2026@gmail.com.
